Leah Allen-Costa, Licensed Massage Therapist and Owner
Previous to my career as a massage therapist, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Nontoxic printmaking.
While working as a production artist for a children's book publisher, I started taking yoga. I was amazed by yogas ability to not only change my body, but how it also affected my mood, and overall sense of well-being. Less than six months later, I completed a 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training with Mitchel Bleier in Norwalk, CT. Massage therapy training seemed like the next logical step in my healing journey.
I graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy 1000-hour program in June 2010, and then went on to complete their AOS in Massage Therapy program in December of 2010.
When working with clients I draw from a variety of body and energy work modalities including Ashiatsu, Swedish, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Thai, Polarity Therapy, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, depending on the needs of each individual client. I am particularly sensitive to the emotional impact of bodywork, as it has played a huge part in my own healing process.
